Physics

Our Facilities

The Department of Physics is located in Barus and Holley, a seven story building constructed in 1965 that contains laboratories, classrooms, lecture rooms, offices, and a rooftop observatory.

Our research involves custom laboratory experiments in the full array of physics areas, from Condensed Matter NMR, Astrophysics, and High Energy Theory to Molecular Biophysics and Nanoscale Physics and Devices.
The Physics Department oversees reservations for specific rooms in Barus and Holley, as well as the Barus Building. Other rooms in Barus and Holley are reserved through the Office of the Registrar and the School of Engineering.
