Professor Vesna Mitrović was named a member of the Editorial Board of New Journal of Physics (NJP), on behalf of the Institute of Physics, UK and the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft.

NJP is a thriving open-access journal with a mission to serve the whole physics community by publishing free-to-read research articles of excellent scientific quality in all areas of physics.

As an Editorial Board Member (EBM) Professor Mitrović will play a key role in ensuring the quality of the published articles and in the editorial development of the journal by conducting preliminary assessments of articles in her area of expertise, building her subject area in the journal and submitting her work to the journal.

Professor Mitrović is the incoming chair of the Department of Physics, assuming that role in July.
