quark massAt the time of the top quark discovery in 1995, Prof. Richard Partridge and Prof. Meenakshi Narain co-led subgroups of the top physics group, and Prof. Ulrich Heintz initiated the first measurement of the top quark mass using dilepton events.

Current Brown Physics Department faculty members David Cutts, Ulrich Heintz, Greg Landsberg, and Meenakshi Narain have been long-time members of the Dzero Collaboration. Former faculty members Robert Lanou and Richard Partridge and many Brown postdocs and students were also members of the Dzero collaboration and contributed to its achievements.
