The third AI Winter School was hosted by the Physics Department's Center for the Fundamental Physics of the Universe on January 6-9, 2026. The four-day 2026 AI Winter School was once again free to all and open to interested graduate students, post-doctoral researchers and advanced undergraduates from any institution.

AI winter school '26 — With an introduction by Professor Ian Dell’Antonio, this video from the 2026 AI Winter School Roundtable begins with the question, "What machine learning techniques are underutilized in physics research? What techniques are overutilized?"

The 2026 AI Winter School was hosted by the Physics Department's CFPU and organized by the Center's Ariel Green.
