PURPOSE: To construct a compound wave from its harmonic components..
DESCRIPTION: A fourier synthesiser produces a sequence of nine independant harmonics. The harmonics can be summed together to produce a compound waveform. Adjust the phases and amplitudes for the individual harmonics to construct a square wave, a triangle wave or a ramp. View the compound wave and the independant harmonics with an oscilloscope.
EQUIPMENT: Fourier synthesiser, as photographed.
