PURPOSE: To demonstrate Lissajous figures.
DESCRIPTION: A bob is suspended from a straight bar linked to a cross
bar. This simple mechanical arrangement has two degrees of freedom. When
displaced from equilibrium and released or gently pushed it will trace Lissajou ellipses
in the sand. The double suspension suspension is not very adjustable so the lissajou
figures cannot be changed.
