PURPOSE: To show that the energy of IR radiation can be focused and transmited much the same way as light.
DESCRIPTION: A parabolic, as shown, has a heater cone at one focus. Another parabolic reflector, about 6 to 10 feet away, has a match placed at the focus. When the two reflectors are aligned and the heater cone is turned on the match will ignite.
