PURPOSE: To demonstrate the transmission of laser light by a fiber
optics line.
DESCRIPTION: Point a laser beam into one end of a curled length of clear
plastic is held. The light emerging out the other end can easily be seen over the
entire lecture hall. There is also an unbundled bunch of fibers to show what is
inside a fiber optic cable.
And there is a bundled fiber optic cable that is flexible and allows for free movement while the laser shines through it.
