
PURPOSE: To show refraction.
DESCRIPTION: A single ray projector is used to produce a beam of light. A rectangular slab of lucite is placed at an angle in the rays of light. It produces refraction, leading to displacement of the light rays. The angle of refraction can be rotated as shown in the series of photographs.
A multiple ray projector can be substituded for the single ray, as shown below:
