PURPOSE: To show the voltage curve when a capacitor is charged.
DESCRIPTION: An RC circuit is driven by a square wave generator. An oscilliscope is connected across the capacitor and the charging curve is observed.
EQUIPMENT: The RC circuit is stored in the electricity and magnetism cabinet. The square wave generator is stored in the general use cabinet. the oscilloscope is stored in the vault.
SETUP TIME: 1/2 hour.
