PURPOSE: To show that the seasons on the earth are due to the tilt of the axis.
DESCRIPTION: A beach ball in a square frame, as shown. The six faces of the cube represent the horizons as seen by a point on the surface of the ball. A handle in the base allows the box frame to be tilted freely by hand.
